STEM Camp is where fun and learning meet, with awesome activities that encourage campers to explore their sense of wonder, promote discovery, reward curiosity, and leave them amazed at what they can do! STEM Camp is a not-for-profit day camp founded in 2013, with over 50 locations in Ontario and 3 in British Columbia.

Each camp week features a theme for an extra layer of fun - and July 2-5, our theme is Minecraft: Crafters! This week and every week, campers will be exposed to awesome activities involving coding, robotics, science experiments, engineering builds and so much more.

During Minecraft: Crafters weeks, campers will portal between the real and virtual worlds, helping Alex navigate a laser maze (in the real world!), learn parkour skills to put to the test outside and in Minecraft to build and navigate a truss tower. We’ll learn about velocity as we build a slingshot (there might be water balloons involved – of course we have to test it!), and be detectives as they solve a mystery while learning fingerprint science. This Minecraft week is totally unique to our Minecraft: Creators week, meaning your Minecraft lovers can have twice the fun!

Character Development: This program helps build the following traits

Curiosity: Through activities, campers are presented with a challenge and a goal to achieve - but aren’t given a direct path for how to get to that goal. They have the pleasure and fun of using their own curiosity to discover things, learn things, and find new ways of solving a particular problem - their way!
Creativity: What happens if I do this? Or what will change if I do that? Campers use their creativity to solve problems, and learn that failure is just more information to help answer what they could try next. In both the real and digital worlds, campers stretch their creative muscles all day long at STEM Camp!
