he WCIT program is designed to enhance leadership skills through hands-on experiences with campers and guidance from Wenonah staff. Over the first two weeks, participants engage in leadership workshops that focus on essential soft skills, such as communication and teamwork. In the final two weeks, they apply these skills through an internship in a cabin placement, actively mentoring campers and gaining practical experience. This immersive program fosters personal growth, confidence, and lasting friendships while preparing participants to become effective leaders in their communities.
Character Development: This program helps build the following traits
Independence: At Wenonah, campers are celebrated for who they are and encouraged to explore new challenges. They discover new passions and build confidence as they step outside their comfort zones. With support, they learn that with determination and self-belief, they can achieve anything they set their minds to.
Responsibility: mbrace responsibility through hands-on leadership opportunities. Learn from experienced staff while engaging directly with campers. This supportive community encourages participants to take ownership of their actions, developing essential leadership skills and fostering accountability.
