Numeracy and Literacy Camp (Ages 5-10)

This camp program will foster learning and give your child insights to their next grade. Each day consists of new activities and a blend of fun and play that keeps children engaged.

The camp is scheduled to run for four weeks. Each day, instructors will work with students to build upon previously introduced skills. Students will benefit best by enrolling into all weeks, however can choose to join or only week at anytime. We have incorporated games and play in all our lessons plans. This way children will enjoy their learning and it also reinforces knowledge retention. 

What's happening at Camp Three R's:

• Children will interact and take part in various numeracy and literacy games and activities
• Worksheets in both Math and Language are done daily by grade level
• Children try out their skills and knowledge in friendly team sparring and individual “test my limit” challenges that encourages children to show their best. Prizes and goodies to be won!
• There will be many group activities and games because collaboration is key in learning in professions and in the world at large
• lunch is included and Fridays are Pizza days !

What do you learn at Camp Three R's:

Your early years child will become more familiar with numbers, counting, patterning and sequencing; alphabet, letter soundings, writing and reading 

Your older years child will build on the foundational things. They will practice addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, time, money, fraction, reading, comprehension, spelling, and writing. As well, there are many subjects and areas that will overlap for both groups, based on grade level.

​At Three R's, we aim to enrich the lives of young children, by providing support and resources for academic progress through our camp and Homework club programs. The goal is not to help the child to become the most sophisticated professional in the future. We want to prepare them with academic tools, and equip them to function in the real world.

​Each day will be a combination of Math and Language skills activities and games. Children will be advancing to their next grade level in the following term. Therefore, we will work with their already known skills, introduce some new learning skills and get them familiar with some possible concepts they may see in their new grade; while still having fun!
