• To all the camp staff
  Thank you to everyone at Camp Couchiching for giving my grandson such a great time. He talked for 2 hours straight about what he did. He kept saying "Oh, yeah and ....." He was so happy and he was very touched by all the hugging everyone did saying good bye. He said "that was really kind of cool, Nana." Thank you to all your staff for me please, you really made his summer.
• Thanks Camp Couchiching

  I picked up my daughters from camp today. They both had a fantastic time!!! They talked about all of the fun activities - 'big boarding', kayaking, making sandcastles, campfires, skits, theme days, games, rock climbing, high ropes and more! They also talked about making new friends and how much they loved their counselors. As a parent, I could easily see how much my daughters liked their counselors and how the counselors positively interacted with the children. The counselors (and other staff members) were also very approachable, friendly and helpful when we were dropping our children off and picking the girls up at the end of the session. We would like to say thank you very much to you and your staff for providing such a fun, safe and enriching experience for our daughters!!!! Have a wonderful fall, winter and spring! See you next summer!!

• The Bus Trip
  Sitting in that parking lot. Waiting for the bus. Your van acting as an oven. But then the coach pulls into that lonely corner of the lot. The doors open and the bags come out. Your heart accelerates. Faces old and new to you appear. Parents say their final good byes and before long the bus has rolled out. The journey takes you north. It is slow but finally in the distance you see the old rundown general store. The bus turns and you are about to arrive at a place where discrimination is the only thing discriminated against. Where you're so tired after your day of running about, that foam bedding is heavenly. A land where candy is legal tender. You get off the bus with a sigh of relief because you know after the long journey, you've finally arrived home again.
