Preschool Swim Camp

Branksome Hall Day Camps is pleased to offer the Lifesaving Society Swim for Life program at camp this year!

Swim Camp is focused on developing a camper’s swim skills and also having just as much fun out of the water! Swim lessons will be provided twice daily by Lifesaving Society-certified instructors, and then the rest of the day will consist of camp-style programming by our amazing camp staff. Campers will enjoy a low instructor-to-swimmer ratio to promote achievement of their appropriate Lifesaving Society Level. Learning to swim and stay safe around the water will be done in a fun environment that promotes achieving a personal best and celebrating personal success. Swim Lessons will teach swimming and survival strokes, as well as increase the distance and speed that each swimmer can achieve, while focusing on making safe decisions in, on and around the water. Land activities include general camp games, and activities such as crafts, sports and outdoor play.  

Please note that Swim Camp is a two-week session in order to promote swim skill progression and passing a level (please see dates below).

We will offer Preschool, Swimmer 1-3, and Swimmer 4-6 levels in each Swim Session (two weeks).  Our NEW AQUATIC SPORT camp for campers ages 10-12 will also be offered twice during the summer (check the dates chart below).  Campers registered in our Girls Active Camp will also have the opportunity to swim twice daily.

You will need to select the appropriate swimming level during the registration process, using the Lifesaving Society swim levels as a guide if you are not sure of your camper’s current level. If you would like to discuss your camper’s swimming abilities prior to registration, or their age does not correspond with the proposed levels, please contact our Aquatics Coordinator PRIOR to registering. While we will assess each camper on the first day of lessons, due to the nature of group lessons and maintaining instructor to swimmer ratios, it may not be possible to switch levels.

Please note that due to high demand, campers will only be permitted to register for a maximum of two weeks of Swim Camp (one session). Participants who are registered for more than one session (two weeks) of Swim Camp will have their registration cancelled and will be subject to all applicable cancellation fees.
