Have you ever looked at a bowl or a mug and wondered how it was made? Learn the three basic techniques of Clay Creation. Campers 10-13 years of age will begin to master the art of pinching, coiling, and slab building. Clay Creation will help campers brand new to the world of pinch pots, or build on the skills of those ready to slip cast your next serving bowl. Each day, campers will work on one-of-a-kind pieces and once they set and harden, they will add final touches with paint, and/or glaze! Perfect for beginners and experienced crafters alike, this camp is all about having fun with your hands and watching your clay creations dry into lasting works of art!
The program also includes a balanced day of co-operative activities outdoors, recreational swim time and includes a nutritious lunch, with hot selections. The week culminates with campers displaying their work in our Friday Showcase!
