    The Our Kids review of Allegro Academy of Music

    our take

    Developing and nurturing each student’s innate musicality is what makes Allegro Academy of Music different from so many other music schools. The talented and passionate Ms. Ayshan provides a positive and nurturing environment for her students, getting them to trust her first and making sure they have fun. All of the best leaders learn from their students and as a teacher, Ayshan gets joy and energy from her students and believes they’ve taught her to be a better person. That’s saying something. All of the teachers are active performers, with ARCT diplomas from the Royal Conservatory of Music plus Bachelor of Music degrees. The Allegro Academy’s speciality is music for young children (MYC), and young prodigies can imagine their future as musicians here as early as age three, but there’s no age limit on who can take classes. It’s encouraging that it can be a family affair. While not succeeding isn’t really an option at the Allegro Academy (many students are award-winning), the first lesson she teaches is to get over the fear of failure. Students are empowered to believe that nothing can stop them and that learning to play music depends on their determination and perseverance.

    Ayshan is a very talented teacher! Our little girl we enjoys her weekly classes and we can really see the progress she's made in the short period. The school itself is very well organized and easy to deal with. We had our son there's previously on a private piano class and wetter competition satisfied with this progress and the program he was in.     Director's Message

    My name is Ayshan Nuriyeva, I am the Founder and Musical Director of the school. I am an active full-time Piano and MYC teacher. I hold Bachelor of Music degree and ARCT diploma from the Royal Conservatory of Music”.

    Our primary emphasis is on developing a healthy pianistic technique and nurturing each student’s innate musicality. The utmost commitment is given to deepening an understanding of the style of one’s chosen repertoire and to the broader spectrum of music in which it resides. Piano study is not easy, but it is so satisfying at the end after all the hard work has been done.

    • Little funny story . Learning new Italian term "Piano"-for soft

      I always pick up something new, interesting and fun while teaching young children of various ages. Teaching gives me positive energy and genuinely makes me happy. I do not just teach, I also learn from my students. To be better teacher, person, kinder and more positive at work and life.

      When asking my students during the class for things that are "piano", one child says "A Lion". I sked if it was  sleeping? "NO, he is being quite while hunting" Then another child pipes up with "Thief"-they have to be quite, so they do not wake you up and call 911.
