"TBGKids camps start in our warm and inviting children's centre, our home base. Campers get to know each other and their counsellors before exploring the wide variety of outdoor areas to explore around the Toronto Botanical Garden. Campers learn about (and try!) vegetables in our vegetable gardens, paint flowers in our stunning gardens and, of course, explore and learn directly from nature in our local forest and ravine system. The Teaching Garden located a 15-minute walk from the children's centre becomes our "home away from home" where campers can help tend to the garden, play in the mud kitchen and harvest vegetables to share with our partners at the North York Harvest Food Bank. "

"Our camps are facilitated by our team of Nature Educators and led by the Manager of Education programs. Our Nature Educators work closely with the Manager to develop programming that helps campers connect with and learn more about nature during each of our camps. Our counsellors engage in robust training prior to the start of camp and are supported by our experienced Manager of Education. Our camp ratio is 1 Nature Educator for each group of 10 campers along with a volunteer for each group and a dedicated staff member to float between the groups as needed."

"Camp registration is online at www.torontobotanicalgarden.ca. Registration has two parts: the first is registering for your selected week and age range. Age ranges all overlap to allow parents to group campers with a friend even if they are a year older or younger than the camper. After registration, a link is sent out to collect pertinent information designed to help us ensure campers have the best experience possible at camp. This includes pick-up information, health and medical concerns as well as any additional details parents and guardians would like to share."
