On its own lake in the heart of Algonquin Park, Arowhon nurtures and challenges children so they discover new parts of themselves: A 9 year old windsurfs across the lake - and back! A 12 year old goes on a horseback cookout and feels he's conquered the wilderness. A 15 year old who has never stuck with anything in the city is given the constant support she needs to practice for her sailing award every day for a month - and she gets it. Our 2:1 camper:staff ratio allows us to give each camper individual loving attention. Campers choose their own activities daily; the only option not available is inactivity. Campers master the art of group living with expert support from experienced counsellors.
